Your New Role…

CNN is looking for an SVP, Product Growth Strategy to join the Digital Products and Services team. In this role, you will lead the strategic efforts to define opportunities for products and services for CNN’s audiences. You will work closely with our product, editorial, technology, design, revenue and data teams to identify new product areas, subscription possibilities, clarify tradeoffs, and act as a partner and thought leader with the product, technology, design, content, linear and commercial organizations on the future of CNN.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Partner with the CNN senior leadership team to define, articulate and execute strategic consumer product priorities

  • Collaborate with editorial, revenue and product teams to define and drive the strategic direction of consumer products at CNN

  • Build strategic partnerships with finance, sales, and marketing teams to drive comprehensive customer research, competitive analysis, and the development of compelling product narratives and business cases.

  • Analyze new product opportunities in partnership with our commercial, product and content teams and assess the impacts to user experience and existing business

  • Support the Editorial teams on the quantitative framework for informing the overall content strategy for our digital products & services

  • Develop and drive strategies to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention, supported by well-crafted strategic narratives and rigorous quantitative analysis

  • Build a deep knowledge of the drivers of our product lines of business and inform the reporting and insights process for optimizing those businesses

  • Build and manage a high-performing team that serves the operators

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 10+ years of experience successfully navigating complex, matrixed organizations

  • Ability to influence decision-making without direct authority

  • Experience creating and driving company and/or sector wide strategic direction

  • Experience building and leading teams; passion for the people who do the work; committed to diversity of the team, and to lead, coach and mentor teams

  • Can set a vision, respond to cultural and audience trends, as well as shifts in our business needs

  • Thought leader that identifies challenges and solutions that help us grow audience

  • Executes against a vision via small, medium, and long-term projects both strategic and tactical

  • Excellent executive and team level communication and collaboration

  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently, while navigating a complex organization

  • Strong leadership and strategic skills

  • Strong quantitative skills

  • MBA preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $280,000.00 - $520,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
